Linkwasha is a luxurious camp that lies in a private concession in the enormously productive south-eastern corner of Hwange National Park. Situated on the edge of the famed Ngamo Plains, which offer fantastic summer game viewing, the camp looks over a magnificent plain and a pan that is a magnet for game year-round, especially in the dry winter months.
The fresh, open and airy design of Linkwasha Camp is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors. Eight sumptuous en-suite tents and one family unit offer incredible views, while the main area – including multi-level decks, a pool area and a winter lounge complete with the library – overlooks the prolific waterhole.

Chikwenya Camp is situated in a private concession on the eastern boundary of Mana Pools National Park and overlooks the Zambezi River, the open floodplains and dense forests with the mountains of the Rift Valley in the background. The area is renowned for its large numbers of elephants, buffalo, hippo and eland when they concentrate along the river when the inland waterholes dry up, especially in the winter. Their predators, leopard and lion are seen as well.
The Camp has nine comfortable tented rooms under thatch, with both en-suite and outdoor showers for bathing ‘under the stars.’ There is a separate lounge and dining area, and a plunge pool. The focal point at Chikwenya is the magical Zambezi River, its backwaters and the surrounding flood plains and forests.
At Chikwenya, the nights echo with the roaring of lions and hippos. It is a regular occurrence to have your meals interrupted by elephants, buffalo and other wildlife passing through the camp. It boasts of phenomenal birding of Africa’s specials such as the Angola Pitta, Narina Trogon, Livingstone's flycatcher, Western banded snake eagle and Shelley’s sunbird. Activities offered are game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, on motorized pontoons, walking, fishing and canoeing.
Airstrip Transfer Time: 15 minutes
Depending on your onward flight out, take a charter flight back to Victoria Falls Airport where your safari ends. Alternatively, you can use Harare International Airport at no extra cost.
