The new Botswana-Zambia Kazungula Bridge across the mighty Zambezi River is ready for the use. Zimbabwe Safari Company as always is excited at this new development that will enhance the seamless flow of our safari operations between Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia.
The construction of the project has been completed at an estimated to cost of US$259M with the initial financing coming from the African Development Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency.
The Kazungula area is unique and famously known as the “golden triangle”, one of few areas in the world that borders four different countries (Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe). With the current introduction of the AfCFTA (African Continentals Free Trade Area) this is an important trade border and could lead to the potential industrial boom in the area.
The new Kazungula Bridge will also increase the levels of tourism in the area. All aspects of our safaris will benefit. From Self Drive clients to Guided Safaris, the development of the bridge means the hustles of having to wait for the ferry boats is now a thing of the past.
