This park opens from 0800hrs – 1700hrs. Entrance fee to this garden is from USD5 per person and clients can have picnics in the park. The Botanical Gardens house over 1000 species of plants, some of them originating from when they were planted in 1950, like the 60 year old cork oak, that was rubbed in with petroleum gel to protect the bark from sun burn. The Gardens boast of both exotic and endemic plant species. The Munda Wanga Botanical Gardens are landscaped in such a way that various sections of garden represent plants from different parts of Zambia and the world.
This park opens from 0900hrs to 1800hrs and is about 30 minutes’ drive from Lusaka. Entry fee is about USD8 per person. Kalimba Reptile Park is open every day of the year and specially trained guides are available to take clients on informative tours. Kalimba Reptile Park nestles in the lush basin of the Ngwerere stream, an extension of Kalimba Farms that specialises in pig, fish, dairy and crocodile farming. Part of the farm has been opened up to the public and this forms the Kalimba Reptile Park.
Opens from 0800hrs to 1800hrs an entry is free of charge. Kabwata Cultural Village is actually home to the 72 woodcarvers, basket weavers and artists who showcase their products here. It’s a great tourist place to visit but it is also popular with locals with a keen eye for quality Zambian products.
